2. A Dream Turns Bad'
"I'm telling you momma, everything happened of its own accord...I didn't have any control over it whatsoever."
"Snow, I've told you several times: I'm not upset. I know you have odd power surges from time to time and that's why we requested Aaron's help. He has equipment that can help keep your elemental control in check. That way you won't turn our living room into an ice-skating rink again."
Snow, a young feline anthropomorph in her late teen years, sighed some combing her fingers through her long lavender hair.
"Fine, fine...personally I'd rather naturally fix this than use equipment...electrical stuff kind freaks me out," Snow sighed.
As she finished speaking there was a ringing noise coming from the other room, Snow headed off to answer the phone as the ring blared again.
"Hello, hello, who is this?" Snow asked through the receiver.
"It's Aaron, let me speak to Nekuila, Snow," Aaron answered back through the phone.
The feline replied back before calling for her mother who promptly arrived at the phone.
"Hey, Aaron, it's been a while, sweetie. What can I do for you?" Nekuila asked, pressing one of her hands down the side of her chest, tracing around the large breast that settled there.
"I need you to come over to the organization as soon as you can, something important came up," he replied back to her a certain level of sternness in his voice.
"My my, you sound very serious, dear, should I come over for a formal occasion or should this be a casual visit?" Nekuila asked settling her head on one of her hands.
There was a brief moment of silence before Nekuila spoke again.
"Don't tell me a certain someone is still embarrassed about having me over for that casual visit?" She teased, using one of her fingers to twist the phone cord around.
"I'd rather not speak about that now if possible, just come over whenever you can, casual is fine," Aaron responded.
Before Nekuila could get a word in the line had disconnected. Setting the receiver back in place she sighed some. Snow walking over in a bit of confusion to her mothers odd look of concern.
"What happened, momma?" Snow wondered running her hand down Nekuila's back.
The older woman's tail flipped about behind her as Snow did this. In turn, Nekuila faced her daughter.
"Well Aaron needs me to come over, do you wanna come with me? Or should I tell your destined loverboy you couldn't make it?" Nekuila snerked, leering at the younger girl.
Snow froze in her place unable to make a comeback if it didnt include studdering. Deafeted, she shook her head.
"I'll..just stay here, though I might go for a walk later. If I'm not here when you get back, I'll be strolling along the plains," Snow answered turning off to leave her mother in the living area.
Nekuila simply grinned and walked toward their fireplace pulling on one of frames that sat upon the banister above causing the whole fireplace to revolve to a room kept secret from the rest of the house.
Aaron paced back and forth in front of his desk, Zero watching him curiously as he moved anxiously.
"Master, you appear troubled. Is something bothering you?" Zero asked as she stood by his desk.
"Well...Nekuila is coming and while I said she didnt have to be formal...her idea of casual isnt exactly...the most admirable or pleasant for a work environment," Aaron answered, his eyebrow twitching slightly.
Before Zero had a chance to respond a bright light flooded the room forcing Aaron to sheild his eyes from being blinded. After a brief moment the light faded away revealing Nekuila from her feet up to her head. Aaron's arm slowly lowered slowly and the first thing that came into view was Nekuila's head followed by her shoulders and immediately saw no clothing. His thoughts quickly began to wander as his arm moved away. Getting a full look at her she had, in fact, come all natural as she'd warned.
"Don't tell me after all this time you expected me to come dressed, darling," Nekuila snickered, letting the long tail of hers wave above the ground.
Aaron's mood quickly sunk as she spoke.
"So untasteful," he hissed under his breath, "that aside. I called you here to discuss the rather odd event that just happened."
Nekuila folded her arms under her breasts, nodding.
"I sensed it, there are some great powers at work here, you don't suppose that this might be a sign would you?" Nekuila suggested.
Zero leaned her glance toward the feline as Aaron approached his desk.
"I was kind of hoping you wouldn't say that. Being as spiritual as you are, though it's not something I can deny, do you have any idea what could have caused it?" Aaron responded with.
Nekuila walked over to him and leaned in against his back, her arms wrapping up under his own. Her hands placed softly against his chest as the two stood there. Zero, still standing by politely observed the two of them, her expression shifting slightly as she watched.
"Always with the acts of affection...If I didn't know any better I'd say you have the hots for me," Aaron spoke under his breath as he tried to relax even while she was leaned on him.
Nekuila hummed quietly in thought for a moment as her hands ran along the front of his body.
"Not me, but the next of kin, my dear. As far as what caused our little dilemma... I only have one plausible explanation," Nekuila answered.
Aaron simply nodded at her response as he stood upright, watching Nekuila slip around to his front sitting herself on the edge of his desk. He glanced at her and thanks to the mood of the moment looking at her naked wasn't as hard to do.
"See all you had to do was be mature about it," she replied.
Stretching her hand out to his she held his hand in her own, making him jolt back to them. He then pulled his hand back quickly.
"I'm not gonna say it again, woman," he sternly replied to the feline, "If that's what it's going to boil down to, I need to start some researching. Zero, with me."
Zero nodded and walked toward the doorway waiting for Aaron.
"I would like to request your help if you can," Aaron stated looking at Nekuila.
"Why shouldn't I? I'll get back with you the moment I find anything sweetie," Nekuila responded with a warm grin on her face.
A flash appeared enveloping from her feet and moved up her body, she was being transported back home it appeared.
Aaron didnt respond as he exited with Zero who followed behind him.
"Sir, what exactly do you believe is going to happen?" Zero asked.
Aaron stopped for a moment as he looked into the brightly lit ceiling.
"Nothing good can come from something like this, it requires massive amounts of power, there are only a handful of people who are capable of this feat, and depending on who it was, we may be in a great deal of trouble," Aaron answered, "I want you to run an analysis report on the continents to figure out if there have been any energy spikes within the last two days."
Zero nodded and began walking again with him.
"So...of the ridiculous number of households I could have stayed at..." Karu stated, looking at the pair of girls before him.
"Hey, I dont like it anymore than you do, you jerk," Nina retorted, "We didn't have much of a choice in the say since we were the first one's to encounter you, he figured we would be the best candidates for you to live with."
"I'm wondering how mom is gonna feel about this," Iruka stated aloud as she sat on the couch, "I sure as hell don't mind though, I think it'll be good to have some testosterone running around the house for a change."
Karu's hand clenched into a fist as he felt a vien throb in his temple. He then turned toward the door to exit.
"Well...before I cause any more problems I'm just going to go now," Karu said as he closed the door behind himself.
"Look at what you did, Nina, stop being so stuck up for a change, just cause you can't get a boyfriend doesnt mean you have to exile all men. Especially one who doesnt even have a home to go to," Iruka commented getting up from her seat and walking off to her bedroom.
Nina huffed some ready to ignore the statement before she heard her sister again.
"Just so you know, I'm leaving it to you to fix this," Iruka finished.
Sighing, Nina headed into the kitchen without a further response.
Karu walked the street side with his hands in his pockets. His gaze was pointed skyward as he walked along.
"I didnt have much time to think about it before now..but this world is so much similar to my own in so many ways..." he whispered to himself.
With no destination in mind, Karu set out on his own walking almost endlessly. By the time he realized he'd been aimlessly walking he had ended up outside of the suburbs and was now either in a rural area or just a plain meadow field.
As he scanned the area he thought to himself, there were only a few places in the world like this on Earth. It was nice to see something peaceful contrary to his recent experiences. As he walked along carelessly he would notice something he'd seen before. Up ahead of him a lone tree stood by itself. Recognizing it subliminally, he rushed toward  the tree and stood before it. His gaze wandered up into the canopy of the tree now as he wondered what this could mean, if anything. Sighing he sat down leaning against the tree's trunk to take a brief nap.
An hour seemed to pass by that Karu had come out into the vast ocean that was these plains. His eyes would part as he awoke from his nap to see the silhouette of a person above him. By the looks of the hair it may have been a woman.
"Are you okay?" Asked a soft voice.
The silhouette moved back some and now that the glare from the sun wasnt in his face he could see the being much more clearly. The girl had pale white skin all over which complimented her deep purple eyes that watched him with deep intent. Stretching both above and below her left eye was a black mark that reached to the very ends of her face, both chin and forehead, while the right half of her face remain hidden behind a lavender curtain of hair. The very same hair spilled over her shoulders and down before her chest before coming to a stop around her body appeared to be a white robe that cut off at the hips, and it was held shut by a wide blue ribbon looking belt that was securely fastened around her waist just below her slightly developed breasts. Atop her head twitched feline ears and across the ground brushed a long tail.
"Are you awake yet?" The girl asked again issuing forth a humored giggle as she sat beside him.
"Yea...I'm awake," Karu answered leaning his head back still too tired to make sense of anything yet.
"You must come here often to just fall asleep out here in the open," she commented as she scooted over to lean against the tree as well.
Karu waited to answer, having to think about that. Though honestly it was his first time physically being there. His head leaned back against the tree as he looked up at the sky.
"Well..I, uh" he started to speak but he paused feeling something was going on.
His gaze slowly shifted downward in her direction. She had taken it upon herself to claim his shoulder as a headrest. That wasn't all either. As he glanced, her robe had shifted enough for him to catch a sight of her cleavage, and he quickly took note of the fact that wasnt wearing much else beneath this uniform.
        "You what?" She whispered.
He froze, having thought she fell asleep or something along that nature.
"Well, I...This is my first time here actually..." he answered finally jerking his head in the opposite direction.
"First time? I come here often, it's a nice relaxing spot. I used to come here all the time as a child with my momma," she shared with him.
Karu swallow down the anxiety that was welling up in his mouth as he turned back to face the girl again. He hadnt realized it until now, somehow, but her body was unnaturally cold to the touch, even through his shirt he could feel how chilly her body was as it laid upon him.
"It is a nice place isnt it. I'm amazed no body has seized the area for their own yet," he spoke calmly as he tried to relax, not used to having this girl within contact of himself.
To him it was like something out of a comic: boy becomes the center of attention somehow, ends up having a number of his fantasies awkwardly fulfilled but can't live up to be open about it and then somehow becomes the major center of some revolving plot. Karu thought deeply over this for a moment as his hand pinched idly over his chin.
"Is something the matter? You look doubtful," the young anthro assumed as she sat up removing her body from his own.
"How can I be sure this isn't all some dream, I mean...this all seems like something out of books I read at home," Karu declared as he became much more questioning of everything that had happened up until now.
The girl's head tilted in confusion as she put her finger up in thought.
"I'm not sure if I understand what you're saying but would it help if I offered to help prove your theory?" She excitedly responded.
Karu looked at her, a bit shocked, but okay with the plan. He the got to standing up beside the tree trunk.
"Well, I could ask something cliche...but," Karu started.
"Cliche? What were you expecting to do?" The feline asked concerned.
"I couldnt ask you of that, but if this is a dream you would know already what I wanted. That answers that question," Karu stated.
The girl laughed, humored yet again as she helped herself to standing up with him.
"I hope I didnt give you the impression of thinking you would get to see something," she replied.
Karu scratched the side of his head immediatedly rolling back to the sight of cleavage from earlier, even if she didnt have much it was about as close to seeing  breasts as he was going to get for a while, he was sure.
"Well...anyway, I should be heading back. It was nice to sit with you," Karu stated.
The girl nodded, bowing slightly. Upon doing this Karu couldn't help but see down the robe yet again. In his mind she definately had some room for growth. Laughing it off hee simply bowed back as she started walking off.
It was no sooner that she started walking away would his disaster streak return as a roaring sound echoed from above. He moved from beneath the tree to see what was going on. The girl had stopped and looked up as well.
There was nothing in the air that they could see. They could hear it though and it was getting closer to them. Before they had a chance to react an object crash landed on the ground before them making a crater.
Karu walked back over close enough to see into the crater to its very deepest parts, Snow joining by his side after a short moment. At the bottom of the crater lay a man from what they could tell. He looked unconscious at the moment but just as they were about to go down to investigate, there was a sudden movement from his arms as they arched up to the sides of his head followed by his body's lower half curling up over his body before he pushed forward launching himself into the air. Not even a moment passed before another crash was made in the same spot forging a crater within the existing one. Karu stepped back some from the whole scene as he looked to the side, the same man from in the crater was standing there in a prone stance ready for something to emerge from the dust cloud that rose from the hole in the earth.
"I see you arent giving up easily. No use however, you will submit eventually and this power will be ours..no matter the cost," a voice came from the smoke.
The man didn't speak a word as he stared down the hole. His stance however changed as he readied himself for the attacker to emerge from the pit. As he changed positions he noticed Karu and Snow standing there watching with a high level of concern and interest. Without saying anything he motioned his hands in a way that he could be saying "Get away".
Without hesitation Snow began backing up to the only cover to hide behind  being that tree. Karu stood still though unable to move.
The man made his action a bit more stern in appearance. By now the dust cloud could be seen through and the pursuer was within sight. Knowing it was too late he changed his own plan and began running for Karu with speeds that Karu had never seen possible by a human being. Before he knew it the man was right in front of him and his arms wrapped around Karu's waist lifting him off the ground over his shoulder, then aimed for Snow. Once she was over his shoulder he took off with the two of them leaving the scene.
Karu turned to look at the man that carried both him and the anthro girl that was with him. He watched as long black hair whipped about in the air while he was running. Although it was hard to see, two protrusions were seen at the front of his forehead that appeared to still look like antennae.
This wasnt the time to be worrying about what he looked like but more where they were going. Frustrated and worried he turned his head enough to try and figure out where they were headed. From the looks of it he was taking them back into town. A brief sigh escaped his mouth, however he couldn't complain. He had planned on returning anyway, not like this though. He thought to himself how he was going to explain what happened. Shortly after starting he huffed knowing the girls weren't going to buy a story from some stranger from another world.
It seemed like only a few more moments had passed before the man arrived at his destination and he set the two down. Karu held his stomach some having become sore from the ridiculous amount of running he did and having a shoulder being shoved in his gut constantly. He endured the pain at that moment as he looked up to see something he wasnt expecting.
"Come on. We need to get inside or he'll trace my energy back here, yours as well," the man spoke as he walked toward the entrance.
Karu's jaw dropped while the girl that accompanied them headed onward.
"You...You've gotta be shitting me!" Karu exclaimed.
The man looked back just as he was about to enter.
"I'll explain when you get in here, now come on," the man declared looking around.
Karu stood still a moment but he was also tired of standing so he finally headed inside as well.
Once they were inside, the man promptly fell back in the first couch he could reach. Karu followed suit in the couch across from his own getting a good look at him. His assumption from earlier was right, the man did appear to have what looked like antennae stemming from the top of his forehead. He had almost pale white skin and his eyes were a very deep red color, which led him to believe he might be albino. His wardrobe only consisted of a muscle shirt, a cloth belt, training pants and light duty shoes, while on his arms appeared to be training sleeves which fit well to the form of his muscular arms. All of his clothing was as black as his hair was. On his hip, held down by the belt, looked like a pole of some kind, he was sure he'd find out later what it was.
"While I don't take lightly to outsiders, Sarthe is my name..." Sarthe spoke first folding his arms over his chest as he spoke.
Karu squinted his eyes some in detest.
"I feel like I should know you already," Karu responded.
Feeling left out, the anthro decided to butt in at that moment.
"My name is Snow, it's nice to meet the two of you," she nodded once to each of them.
Sarthe leaned over propping himself up with an arm, looking over Snow briefly.
"Princess, you need not introduce yourself to a kind like him...or again to me," he stated.
The feline lowered the little triangle ears of hers somewhat as she heard that.
"But I don't feel any bad presence from him. In fact it feels like we were destined to meet," she smiled turning to glace at him.
Karu looked at her out of the corner of his eye then leaned his head down in thought and as he was about to begin talking Nina entered the room.
"Back home already, Sarthe?" She spoke, startling Karu a bit.
"What do you mean 'already'? It's not like I leave forever," Sarthe retorted, watching Snow turn around to wave to Nina.
"Even brought home company this time. It's good to know you're making friends...though I wasn't expecting one to be the princess of all people," she commented onward.
Sarthe sighed, leaning his head forward some.
"I can already tell this is going downhill. Before you say anything though," Sarthe began to speak pointing at Karu with a discriminating glare, "Who is he and where did he come from?"
Karu blinked, shrinking back some. Nina was quieted for a moment as she looked at Karu.
"He's called Karu and he's from another planet," Nina answered quietly, "Don't tell me something odd is happening."
Sarthe nodded and lowered his hand. He then stood up and held his arm out to his side in the palm of his hand a dark matter began to manifest and extended out from his hand at least four feet before stopping, taking the form of a slender blade. Once it had taken shape his hand clenched shut quickly dispersing the black aura from around his weapon, revealing a thin black metal sword in his hand.
"Why did you come here?" Sarthe scowled as he pointed the end of the sword at Karu.
Karu fell back in his seat as the sword came to point at him. If he had to estimate the sword was only a few inches from his face now.
"I don't know, man! Calm the hell down. It's not like I wanted to come here. It just happened!" He raged back keeping his distance from the point that reside in front of him.
Sarthe was silenced after that statement and he pulled away the sword his hand opening making the weapon dissolve in thin air. He turned away and walked for the door.
"All I have to say is that if you value your life, you'll do the wise thing and try to go back home," he commented, exiting the building without a moment to hear a response.
Karu stared in hesitation at the door. Nina, who now stood behind the couch, folded her arms over her chest.
"Finally, someone who agrees with me," she said frustrated.
"I know I said I wanted to see a new world but what the fuck. The way he's putting it, I seem to be the center of attention...but what attention?" He questioned to himself.
Snow leaned toward him rubbing his shoulder, and as soon as she did, Karu felt like a block of ice had been laid on his shoulder. He turned around to face her.
"It'll be okay," Snow spoke, "I'll tell my mama, and she'll know just what to do. So, I gotta get going, else I'll forget."
Karu did relax some after hearing that, he then watched the white skinned girl leave the building. Sighing some he sat back down and by now he'd been left alone as Nina had left the living room. Looking up at the ceiling he was completely unaware that he'd been accompanied by the vixen from the first time he'd come here, her hand pressing on his chest making him jump from being startled. He looked down to see Yuri laying there beside him with her hand on his chest. Realizing who it was, Karu settled once more. This did not amuse the vixen as she moved to set on his lap.
"You seem concerned. As long as we are together, I shall be protecting you," she whispered with that same expressionless face she had last time.
Something was different though, this time. He looked at her a bit more closely and noticed the faint smirk she had on her face. She rested her hands on his shoulders staring him in the eyes with the sapphire jewels that were her eyes.
"Will you come back to my room? I wish to make you feel better," she suggested.
While it appeared she had good intentions, the fact she was really trying to lure him further to being hers made him that much easier to catch. She would easily notice his gaze wandering down into her cleavage as her kimono subtly fell around her shoulders.
"I guess it wouldn't hurt too," he started with saying, "especially if it gets me more of what I'm seeing now..."
Willingly, he nodded and she smiled getting up from his lap and holding his hands. He got up shortly after she did and followed her to her room ended up being down the hall  concealed behind a door  that was disguised as the very wall itself. The vixen walked him over to a bed that sat in the far edge of a dimly lit blue room.
"Please lay down for me?" She asked him as she walked off to her dresser.
Karu nodded and climbed onto the bed. It was as soft as it looked and he seemed to sink into the comforter as he sat down. Once settled he'd turn around saw that the girl had undressed herself down to nothing but a pair of underwear, but even those were sunk between her soft rounded cheeks. Swallowing, he simply watched her in silence as she pulled out a slender looking piece of clothing, perhaps a nightgown.
"I'm glad to be able to do this, you looked so tense out there," she started to speak as she slipped into the top.
He blinked, looking at her as she dressed again. She was watching everything that was going on and he never even noticed. She was no where to be seen.
"And Sarthe was such a jerk to you, not knowing how you got here or why you're here. I think you came for a reason," she turned to face him, her face mostly hidden by the onyx hair she owned.
Karu simply stared at her, his eyes zipping up to her head as she looked at him. He scoots over to the edge of the bed looking at the floor before responding.
"Do you really think I came here intentionally though, I still don't even know how I got here in the first place," he replied to her.
As he was answering she was walking towards him. By the time he was finished talking she was holding his shoulders laying him back on her bed while she climbed over top of his lap.
"I know you coming here was no mistake. If it was, I'd love for you to stay here with me. I'll be sure to protect you, my darling," she smiled leaning in toward his face.
Karu's cheeks turned a dark red, though in the ambient light it was hard to see much aside from his body itself. She began to caress his cheeks softly as she laid her body against his own. He would fidget below her as he felt the weight of her breasts fall onto his chest as well as note the fact she was sitting on his lap.
"Tell me, what is your name?" The vixen asked grinning to him as she idly let a hand wander and roam around his neck and cheeks just as her eyes examined about his face.
"K-K-Karu Ok-kura..." he stuttered watching as she prodded around with him.
"That's an interesting name, I should expect that though of someone not from here," she grinned.
By now Karu was staring partly down at her lips, overall she was kind of like one of those girls he'd seen in cosplay magazines. The kind of girl that you never got to meet. His hand began to wander up to her body as she lay dominantly over his body.
"Go ahead, I don't bite," she smiled.
Behind her he could see her tail swinging about in the air. This made him a bit uneasy, her straight-forwardness. Having never been around women he wasn't quite sure what to do now.
"Is this your first time?" She tilted her head some as she stared endlessly into his eyes.
"I'm not used to being around a girl, especially one like yourself," he whispered some.
This triggered her to lean against him more until both their cheeks were rubbing together. She would hold him by the sides of his head, allowing him to feel her warmth.
"I understand. You aren't ready yet, may I ask to have you lay here so that I can stay like this?" She asked softly.
He hummed softly, looking at her. She'd really taken quite a liking to him. At first he'd thought  she was kidding around with him like the other two house residents he'd met.
"I don't mind laying here like this," he relaxed some looking at the ceiling where the odd track lights were lined up where the walls met the ceiling.
As he lay there with the curvacious vixen laid on him he pondered what all had happened earlier. Sarthe saying that he should head back home, Snow wanting to help. It was all confusing. Was being on this world a bad thing or was there more to it, he pondered.
Sighing some he shook his head and fell asleep while the vixen on him was fast asleep.

Prologue

Destiny, the path one takes in order to accomplish a predetermined goal set by oneself or others. Many have a set destiny but due to some circumstances are never able to achieve them. Some have a destiny that sounds far fetched or otherworldly. Just how distant can something like one's destiny become? One resident of Earth will have his destiny achieved. Karu, a fifteen year old boy only starting high school year, will have the experience of a lifetime.

1. Take Off to a World Unknown

"Hey redhead! Get your lazy ass over here and help clean up so we can-" A student called out before being interrupted by the procrastinator himself who sat gathering his items in his bag in a sloppy fashion.
"Yea yea, help clean up to get out, I know the score, geez, keep your underwear on," Karu hissed silently to himself pulling the flap over his  messenger bag before he slugged out of chair to help.
"Um..Karu?" A female's voice rolled through the air into his ear.
Karu spun around to meet a familiar face, one of his friends whom he hung out with often, Carra was her name, a short sophomore who seemed to show a deep down attraction to the red head.
"Hey, Carra, what's going on?" He asked a bit more relaxed now that people were not yelling at him.
She shuffled her left foot on the floor behind her other foot as she looked down at the ground, “W-Well there’s something we could use your help with over here if you need something to do."
Karu grinned some as he walked over with the girl to take care of his chore.
"Say, Karu?" Carra called out to him as she wiped down the board in class.
Karu looked over at her, the short girl had taken up use of a step-stool to get to the higher parts of the board and at the moment he was cleaning the desk the teacher sat at. A near perfect opportunity to get a shot at her skirt before he caught her staring at him.
"W-what is it, Carra? Can you not reach something?" He asked to subtly play it off, exhaling a small breath.
She shook her head again, laughing a bit before she spoke, "You know we're almost in high school. I don't mind if you have a peek."
At saying that his face lit up a bright red color as she continued on to speak.
"But seriously, you remember that time you told me about the world you used to dream about so much? Do you still have those dreams now?" She asked as she stepped down from the stool.
Karu thought for a moment as he stood upright. In the past he'd had dreams about other worlds and whether there was life out in the universe aside from Earth and one day he hoped to travel to any or all of them.
"I haven't had the dream as much lately... I wonder if I'm growing out of it," he responded leaning against the desk.
Carra giggled some, "Don't get rid of your dream, Karu...make it your destiny to do what you dream."
Karu nodded, "Maybe not right now...but one day I'll definitely go and see another world. Maybe even all the worlds out there. Its been forever since this planet has tried to make contact with other existences, I hope to accomplish that."
Just as he finished speaking there was an abrupt smack to his back. One of his other friends it seemed, Alex.
"You going on about going to other worlds again, dude? Leave that dumb dream alone, its not like you're gonna meet some space chick and fall in love or some crazy crap like that," Alex pronounced.
"Yeah yeah, keep it going your story amuses me..." Karu replied with a sharp hiss in his voice, "That's not why I want to see other worlds."
"I bet, anyway what are you doing after school? I got a new DVD that you just have to see," Alex responded with, one of his fists clenched.
Karu blinked before frantically waving his hands, "Are you dumb!? Don't ask me that right in front of Carra, you dope!"
Carra who'd taken notice of the conversation let out a curious hum which caused the two to shrink away from her.
"I'll talk to you after school then...I might have plans already." Karu stated sighing some afterwards.
Immediately after he was done talking, Alex barked at him.
"How can you already have plans, and this is way more important than any plans you, of all people could possibly have!" He exclaimed, fists waving in the air.
Karu held a hand up in unnecessary defense in case of a wandering punch being thrown his way as he replied, "Calm down, man. If it's what I'm thinking it is, I'm sure it can wait anyway."
Alex stood in shock, Carra beside him hiding a chuckle as best she could.
"Anyway, now that school's out, I'm heading home. We're supposed to be getting a storm soon and I didn't bring a jacket or umbrella," he went on to say getting his belongings from his desk and heading for the door. Carra and Alex both looked at one another exchanging shrugs. They both knew that Karu had that odd 'keep to myself' characteristic about himself.
On his way outside the building Karu was accompanied by groups of other students who were starting to file into buses if their parents weren't waiting for them in the lot across the loop before their school. He would look up to the sky wondering how it was that he was supposed to expect rain when there were so few clouds in the sky. Avoiding collision with other students he walked down sidewalks until he was off of school property. Thoughts began racing through his head about what Alex had said back in the classroom, going to other worlds. How could his own friend not believe in his dream to visit another planet?
Just as the thought hit him, his thoughts were invaded by an unknown voice. From the sound of it it was a younger woman's.
       "Are you the one...who's destined?"
He stopped walking after hearing this as the voice continued to speak, its feminine monotone speech.
"Are you the one who'll chance the destiny of the planet?"
Karu's head sank in thought he knew that telepathy wasn't something that was achieved here on his home world. Could someone be sending him messages from another planet? Was someone on Earth that wasn't really from earth? He shook his head. While he didn't abandon the thought of life on other worlds, maybe his friend might have been hinting to an overactive imagination. He resumed walking onward to his household. Looking back up he noticed the sky was now beginning to become full and darkened with clouds. For once the weather he'd been told about was true.
Once home he approached his front door, by now the sky had become much more active, thunder booming and lightning surging from cloud to cloud.
"Yo dad, I'm home!" He yelled, soon heading to his room.
As he would expect, his dad didn't respond and his mom had a night job so it wasn't likely she was home.
Like usual he headed straight to his room and threw his bag on the floor and collapsed on his bed to take a nap.
As soon as he fell asleep he was vividly thrown into a dream, long everlasting field of grass with a single growing tree that stood towering on a large hill by itself. He would approach the single tree and stand by it seeing few things off in the distance but what caught his eye fastest was a girl clad in what appeared to him as a white robe of some kind.
The woman approached him but something seemed off....although he was able to recognize the figure before him was a girl, the robe accenting various curves around her torso, he couldn't see any parts of her actual body it all seemed to be blacked out as if she didn't even exist.
His gaze had been locked onto the figure's head and while it appeared that the expression was blackened a white space emerged about where her mouth would be as if she were speaking. Perhaps it was just because he was dreaming, but he didn't hear a bit of what she was saying. He couldn't say that he couldn't hear her. After all, this was happening in his subconscious.
When she was done speaking, the white space curved into a grin just before everything around the pair of them changed from the serene environment to a sea of flame and destruction with the exception of the one tree he stood by. It was just about then that he was shocked awake.
"Wh-what was that?" He panted some looking around.
It had grown dark outside now and the storm was still carrying on. He pulled his cell phone from his pocket to check the time. Several hours had passed since he had gotten home. Something felt different though. With the exception of the storm outside everything was quiet within the house the light in the hall outside his door was on he noticed by looking at the space beneath his door.
"I wonder if dad's even around...he never came to check up on me or anything," he said to himself as he stood up and traveled outside his room.
No sooner than opening his door did he realize the light he saw earlier was not from the hallway light. The source had changed from the hallway to the living area now. He waited a moment thinking again, he'd seen things like this in movies where odd phenomena like this occurred and usually it didn't end well but he couldn't leave it alone. Besides his dad couldn't have been but so many places and he only lived in a one story house to start with.
He began moving toward the living area and the light source slowly faded away as he moved forward. Could this have any connection between his dream and what was going on now? He wasn't sure of course but his curiosity was getting the better of him now. He headed into the living area, the lights there were also off. The source of light had moved toward the front door.
"Outside?" He questioned looking toward the kitchen which was opposite the direction from his room, "There's no way a light like that could be strong enough to show from my room from the front door..."
He moved reluctantly toward the front door hand extended to the doorknob. Just as he took hold of the handle a tangle of lines ran throughout the door within the split second the door was closed and disappeared once he pulled toward himself. A blinding light came from the crack as he opened it.
"Wasn't it raining just a second...ago..." his spoke before awe took his voice away.
As the door opened further and further he would see a completely different room now as if he'd been set up in one of those bio-hazard domes only he was looking at yet another hallway. Curious he stepped through the doorway looking either way down the hall. No one was around so he proceeded on to move down the hallway, behind him the door would slowly swing shut.
"Where...am I?" He asked himself as he wandered down the hallway, conveniently his only wearing socks made it easy for him to travel the hard floor with silence.
Oddly enough the house he was in was shaped just like his own with the exception of the staircase that leads to the second floor.
"This place doesn't seem all that different but last time I checked...my house wasn't connected to another one.." he whispered to himself as he peeked around the corner.
What he saw didn't amuse him in the slightest, it was like looking at an exact replica of his own house. Feeling a bit more at ease he walked out into the open and setting on the couch in the middle of the living area.
"I wonder if dad knows anything about this," he questioned allowed as he rubbed his chin in thought.
"Who is dad?" Asked an unknown females voice.
The sudden notice of another person, especially a woman, threw him off the couch in shock as he turned around, almost hitting his head against the wooden table.
He sat there looking at the figure that was now walking around the couch to approach him. after passing the side of the couch he had a clear view of the vixen that now stood before him. From the very top she had long straightened jet-black hair that reached down to about her mid back, some of it tied into a hard to spot ponytail and grouped together with a large ocean blue ribbon. Her skin appeared pale almost white even. Her facial expression wasn't the most friendly, more of a scolding and demanding one. Her torso was wrapped up in white robes which finely accented her body which from his point of view was both wide at the chest and hips, the robe also cut off at her hips as well and he could see very clearly what was going on. She wasn't very tall from the looks of it but the two most interesting details were the ears that pointed up from her head and the bushy tail that swayed idly behind her.
"Wh-who are you?" Karu asked as the vixen walked closer until she loomed over him.
Her gaze was stern and shot chills up his back and he tried his best now to start moving away. That tactic was easily stopped as the girl moved over him and quiet forcibly set on his torso.
"I could ask you the same thing. I live here, what are you doing in my house?" The vixen asked.
She had a serious look about her face but her voice,, to the young man, was almost angelic. Not only that but contrary to what she had bust and waist wise, she was very light even sitting on him. Fantasy aside his confusion rose quickly.
"Wait...where...where am I even at? Is this even....Earth?..." he wondered.
Taking another look at her, no one on Earth ever had ears or a tail like she did.
"What is Earth? It sounds like it tastes disgusting," she retorted in her unusually soft sounding voice.
Her ear perked somewhat and she looked up, then back down at him. Her hand tracing his cheek gently.
"Whatever you are...I think I will claim you as my own. You're an interesting species." She grinned some leaning down to exchange a kiss with him shortly afterward.
Karu's face lit up a bright red color as he felt the vixen's lip against his own the soft feel and warm touch. It was just like a girl out of his dreams. The embrace ended short-lived for him though.
"If I catch you with other women you will regret it," she scolded him moving up and off his body disappearing in a puff of smoke.
Shortly after she vanished the front door opened and in came two more girls, more thoughts began racing through his head as they entered only to see him laying there on the floor.
"I must be dreaming...is this a planet inhabited only by women?" He questioned as he stared at the two dark skinned women.
One of the two, maybe his height and approached him she was dressed in the equivalent of what could be considered gothic clothing: Short tattered appearing skirt, tight fitting top covered with a mesh body shirt, long black gloves on both arms and her hair as black as the woman from before.
"What the hell is he doing in our house!?" Pitched the girl before him.
Her hand was extended to his direction and quickly he scrambled to his feet.
"I'm trying to figure that out myself. I opened the door to my house and ended up in yours," he responded quickly, folding his arms.
The woman was in silence standing there, while the accompanying girl probably a sister due to similar appearance but slightly taller and much more grown out on her chest, went up to him. Her body leaned from side to side before him, examining his body. A look of scorn appeared on her face before it turned to satisfaction.
"Well aren't you just the catch of the day," she complimented.
She then helped him to the couch again setting down next to him soon after.
"It's okay, Nina. Obviously he's not from around here. We should give him a chance to explain himself before pulling the gun," the woman stated.
Nina, the younger of the two of them, sighed and folded her arms over her breasts.
"Alright then, why are you here?" She then asked as if the whole occasion was staged.
Karu blankly stared at her getting up.
"I don't know what's going on but I know when I'm not wanted somewhere and I don't question so, peace," he replied, heading for the front door.
The two sisters looked at him not commenting as they turned to one another. Karu exited the door without another word leaving them to themselves as he entered a whole world different, yet so similar to his own.
"Iruka, do you think we should get Aaron in on this?" Nina wondered, her hand wandering up her torso in concern.
Karu stood outside the house now looking around his surroundings. The world around him looked so familiar yet it was so different from what he was used to seeing.
He stepped down the walkway from the house and exited through the front gate to where he was black asphalt on the ground. He was at the street now.
"I know I'm not on Earth anymore..humans down have red skin or animal body parts. But why am I not excited?" He asked himself looking up toward the sky. Even it looked the same as back on Earth: blue sky, white clouds.
He began down the street on his own, hands in his pockets as he walked. His gaze aimed toward the ground, he noticed he didn't have shoes on. His walk wasn't going to last him long before he would feel sore.
He only made it a block or so down the street before he began hearing sirens.
"Heh, even have police authority here," he mentioned walking down.
As he walked along he noticed the sirens coming closer to his direction. Looking around him he didn't look like he was in a suspicious neighborhood. Then it hit him. What if those three he met just earlier called the authorities on him. He couldn't live his days in confinement or under surveillance or, worst case scenario, death.
Having those thoughts cross his mind he turned back and started running to find somewhere to go to hide. He figured going back to that house he came out of would be a bad idea he'd be that much easier to catch. As he sprinted onward he watched for any turns offs into alleyways or something of the sort.
The sirens continued to become louder and louder, looking back over his shoulder he had to wonder how they got there so quickly. Grunting he turned his gaze back ahead of him to resume finding places to hide for the time being.
The roar of engines because quite noticeable even over the sirens themselves as a group of three vehicles sped down the street. They appeared to be solid white hatchbacks possible to house various kinds of equipment. Appearance wise  they seemed rather long as well and a bit on the short side and very low to the ground, almost like a sports car. On the roof of the car a single bar of flashing red lights sat.
Karu wasn't going to be able to outrun these vehicles that were charging down the street most likely for him. By now he was out of breath and ended up stopping nearby the same house he had just abandoned, holding the gate before it as he hunched forward to catch his breath.
Not even a few moments passed before the three vehicles were stopped before the very same household he stood at. Looking at them with one eye opened as he gasped for air he watched as each of the vehicles were opened and from them emerged at most two occupants dressed in rather slim fitting black slacks, utility belts around their waists that carried probably the most necessary items for a local authority: gun, sprays, baton, radios and a few other things. They all wore a black shirt and over it a partially closed white trench coat that had both sleeves removed and each of their arms had black belts wrapped around them one on the forearm and one around the upper-biceps.
"Well, I guess this is my calling then.." Karu whispered to himself.
Each of them walked toward him but not straight toward him as they passed him and went to the house. He blinked looking back to them to see what was going on. The door of the house opened and the same two girls he had seen from earlier showed up. A look of shock and dumbfounded-ness froze on his face as he watched the group converse before he saw the two girls notice him and point. The group of authorities all turned and started walking his way.
"Stay where you are young man," one of them called out.
Karu wouldn't dare move from where he was but couldn't help drooping his head again.
One of them began speaking as they stood within arms reach of his person.
"We've been called on account that you have been sent here via a dimensional rift. We'd like you to come with us and answer a few questions back at headquarters. The CEO would be very interested to hear," spoke another officer.
Karu looked up some a bit discouraged of course at what he was hearing.
"Yea, sure thing..." he replied blankly before they escorted him to one of the vehicles.
The car ride seemed very short as only ten or fifteen minutes passed before he was approaching a large, or rather, very large building.
"Th-....there's no way that's just a police building..." Karu mumbled to himself.
Having caught what he said, the driver of the car he was in replied quickly.
"Welcome other worlder, to Seilku Organization. As was said earlier you will be confronted by the CEO to determine whether or not you're able to stay here or if you're getting sent back to your home world. Though normally we don't mind visitors from other worlders, we prefer them done through us. Not the bedroom of this planet's residents," he replied with a humored grin.
"Yea..." was all Karu could say back to him unsure of whether that was bad or good. After all he knew nothing of this planet or what its inhabitants may have done to him if he didn't have this happen first.
"Don't worry, nothing bad is gonna happen to you. Aaron's got a way of being understanding for things like this," the office went on, "I have to say, whatever got you here in the first place was unnaturally powerful."
"Yea..." is all karu responded with as the vehicle came to a stop before this enormous building.
"Let's go, I'm sure that Aaron will want to see you as soon as possible," the officer went on to say.
"So this Aaron guy, does he own or run this whole place?" Karu asked as he was escorted through multiple areas of the building he was sure he wouldn't remember even if he came back again.
"Aaron owns and runs the whole organization as was passed down from his father he is the successor to the Sirkon family which is the only name capable of running the organization due to social status and operational status," he replied, "Since you aren't of this world I can't say more than that all I know is that the organization has been in running for the last forty years."
Karu nodded silently as they were walked down a long corridor which stopped at a pair of steel doors which parted open after the officer put a card down on a panel found to his side.
"Well go on, youngster," the man spoke.
Karu gulped some walking through the doorway into the room, it seemed about as elegant as any other CEO's office would be, carpet floor a black glass top  executive desk, crazy view that always seemed to be overlooking the most spectacular spots. It fit the bill easy.
"Oh. I see you have a guess master," spoke a woman clad in a white cloak that covered just about all of her body with the exception of a white pair of stilettos. Even her hair matched being it's bright white color, her skin and eye colors set everything off balance by being a pale cream color for her skin and a deep green color in her eyes.
Karu waved silently to the woman who now approached him.
"Welcome to Seilku young one, I'm informed that you've been sent here by some...nontraditional means. Is this correct?" She asked simply.
Karu nodded, "It all happened so suddenly."
The woman nodded and set her hand down on his head, having been covered her cloak she was now exposed somewhat allowing him to see the skin tight corset the girl had on as well as a solid white pair of short shorts that seemed to squeeze her figure some.
"We've been waiting for your arrival, I'm sure you must have compiled quite a few questions. Rest assured they will be answered in time," the long white haired woman continued to explain.
Karu nodded sighing some as he was brought a chair and set up by the desk with the big manager's chair facing away from him.
"Tell me, son," came a man's voice from the chair, "When you arrived here on this world, what was you're intention. Are you hostile, allied or neutral?"
The chair turned and a man with short silver hair bashed his palms down on the desk as he stood from his chair he was wearing a similar cloak to the woman's and beneath it he wore business formal attire: a dress shirt, slacks and even a designer belt.
Karu slid back in his chair some as the man suddenly came into view.
"I have no idea what you're talking about. I don't know how I even got here, much less what's going on...to answer your question I'll have to say neutral," he replied settling himself down some.
The man nodded, sitting back down interlocking his hands together.
"I see. I apologize for my uproar just now, we've been having odd electrical readings lately and you're appearing here didn't put you in a good position as I'm positive you're feeling right now. I am Aaron, CEO of Organization Seilku. I'd like to welcome you to the world of Keiroy. Please, if you have any questions tell me them, I'd like to answer any confusions now."
Karu nodded relaxing some, looking at the woman to his side.
"Who is she, you're wife?" Karu bluntly asked.
Aaron couldn't help but laugh out loud to the question.
"Aaah what it's like to be young. This woman here is my aid, Zero. Zero, if you would, introduce yourself," Aaron commented sitting back.
The woman nodded turning to face Karu, parting the cloak fully so it rest at her sides showing him her full figure.
"Greetings, I am Zero, a ManaCOM product of Seilku. The prototype ManaCOM first made to serve by the owner themselves. I am also Aaron's pet," she introduced herself to Karu before bowing.
Karu froze a moment to take in what she said. Eyelids fluttering a couple times before he looked back to Aaron.
"I'm sorry, did I hear her right? Did she say pet?" Karu asked Aaron with a steadily increasing rate of confusion going about himself.
Aaron nodded as Zero headed over to stand beside him.
Karu's face remained rather stiff as he thought over the situation. His usual thoughts on something like this raced over and over the statistics of a being willingly submitting itself to another in servitude. some humanities in the past on his home world did this but he hadn't thought, in this age any race would still participate that way.
"You look rather troubled. I assure you it's not quite as odd as you may be thinking. Zero here is an android, its quite alright that she's following orders," Aaron spoke out to clear up the situation.
While a helpful move, Karu still rose to yelling.
"Why would you produce slaves that look like humans!?" He exclaimed standing up repeating Aaron's action early by slamming his hands on the desk.
"Karu, I could never think of Zero as a slave, I consider her my equal she just has capabilities that I do not. I've seen this in movies though and I can one hundred percent guarantee you that the development of feelings," he explains further turning around in his chair sighing some, "Zero, escort him back to resources, see if you can get him accommodations for a place to live."
Zero nodded some and walked over to Karu waiting for him.
Karu took in a deep breath and looked at Zero before turning to exit the room with Zero leading him.
Aaron stared at the wall before him lowering his head.
"At least...we've come to the determination that development of feelings is near impossible..." he whispered to himself as he heard the door shut.
Karu and Zero headed back down to the floor level of the building. Karu continued to eye the manacom before him wondering how something like that would turn out. Aaron had heard about it, and so had he as well. It always ended up occurring in the end somehow. He shook his head taking his mind off it.
"Say, Zero...you said you were expecting me back there...were you saying that just because I showed up at that room or do you know how I got in this world," Karu asked stopping once he was done talking.
Zero stopped as well turning back toward him somewhat her lifeless stare aimed toward him. As his own gaze locked with hers he felt there wouldn't be a need to worry about it even within her emotionless expression.
"You're right. I'm just being paranoid, I guess," he answered himself.
Zero nodded some walking up to him and placing her hand on his shoulder. Although she was an android her hands were surprisingly lifelike. Almost easily mistaken for a human being.
"So is there a way to get me home or am I stuck here?" He continued to ask her as they both resumed walking.
"Until we can gather the necessary information on the phenomena that brought you here in the first place, we have no choice but to selectively place you with the inhabitants here. I do hope that's not an inconvenience for you," she responds as they approach a service desk.
"I see... Well I guess it isn't a bad thing I get to stay here for a while. It's been my dream to visit another world," Karu smiled walking up to the desk to lean on.
Zero turned to face him yet again, her eyes shuttering a few times.
"That is a big dream you have, it is good you were able to do what you wanted," Zero commented before turning to the desk clerk.
